Vox was on Cloud Nine when Thrings’ law firm hosted a meeting of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta’s prestigious 100 Club at their Bristol office and invited Sue Pycroft to speak.
Thrings partner Jane Oakland, who is a trustee director of the Balloon Fiesta’s organising committee, introduced Sue, who outlined the rationale for Thrings’ strategic approach to sponsorship, and illustrated how to calculate return on investment and quantify success. Sue, who works as communications consultant to Thrings director of marketing Lizzie Heffer, was joined by two other experts talking about marketing and communications. Chris Moody, of The Real Adventure at Temple Quay, amazed the audience with predictions of how digital marketing technology is going to change in the near future, and Chris Parker of Kellaway Building Supplies Limited revealed how membership of the Balloon Fiesta 100 Club has reaped rewards for his company.
