A great start to 2008

Swindon-based public relations agency Vox PR has won three major new contracts in the first two months of 2008.

Semaphore, the region's leading full service advertising, brand and design agency, has recruited Vox to help with its brand relaunch and support its new business drive for 2008.

Marlborough-based Semaphore has clients including WH Smith, Orange Business Services and The National Trust, and was recently awarded a major advertising campaign by the hotel giant Hilton UK and Ireland.

"Semaphore has recently made some new hirings and has exciting plans for the future," said Semaphore's managing partner, Nick Clements.

"We will be relaunching the agency shortly and felt that, with its own high profile in the area, Vox PR was the perfect choice to help us communicate our extended services to the business community."

The UK's leading manufacturer of plastic moulded street furniture and safety products has also appointed Vox PR to devise and implement its PR programme in the trade media. LINPAC Environmental, based in Corsham, is part of the LINPAC group of companies, one of the UK's largest manufacturing groups.

The company manufactures and distributes to over 4,500 businesses and institutions across Britain - and has just won a contract to supply Google's new offices in Israel.

Vox PR has also been brought in to devise and run a consumer and media relations campaign for Swindon's town centre shopping centre, The Brunel.

Julie Margerum, managing director at Vox, says that despite the uncertain economic climate nationally there has been no slow down in new business opportunities.

"In fact it's been quite the reverse," said Julie Margerum.

"Our experience suggests that in this region businesses are still quite confident and bullish, and people are hiring, rather than simply enquiring."
