Helen Brownings Organics - based at Eastbrook Farm at Bishopstone, and supplier to Tesco and Sainsbury's - has bought The Royal Oak in the village, and is supplying much of the meat for the kitchens where chefs are turning this and other locally produced food into taste bud tickling dishes.

"With such great food and set, as it is, in a gorgeous Wiltshire village just a few miles from Swindon we don't think our task should be too difficult," said Julie Margerum, Vox director. "

"At the moment not enough people know that Helen Browning's business has taken over The Royal Oak and that it is serving such excellent food. We plan to change that and help make this into the really thriving business it deserves to be."
