Science Museum, Wroughton

Vox PR won a two-pronged contract to publicise public events at the Science Museum Wroughton and to provide strategic support surrounding the proposed National Collection Centre (NCC).
Vox PR was shortlisted in the prestigious CIPR 2007 Pride Awards Best Use of Media Relations in the West of England for this work.

Vox won a two-pronged contract to publicise public events at the Museum's Wroughton site and to provide strategic support surrounding the proposed National Collection Centre, now known as Inspired.

The 545-acre site is home to many of the Science Museum's large objects, and Inspired will enable the public to look at how past scientific breakthroughs can help inform science, technology and development in the future.

The museum wanted to raise the profile of the site and the future plans, as well as attract more visitors. Vox produced the museum's first What's On brochure and was responsible for substantially increasing media coverage and public awareness of the events and the venue's future plans.

Programme and operations manager Ken Barbour said "Vox looked at our programme with fresh eyes and came up with strong ideas on how to market and promote it, and then delivered them. We were delighted with their work which resulted in a substantial increase in the number of people who visited us and know about us".
